This show has 4 female casts which are Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp and Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis.

Season 8 episode 14 summary
Susan discovers the identity of the father of Julie's baby; Orson makes it his duty to nurse Bree back to health; when Mrs. McCluskey throws Roy out of the house, Gaby takes him in and is reluctant to help get them back together when he proves to be an invaluable disciplinarian to her kids; after getting used to her alone time, Lynette is furious when Porter and Preston are evicted from their apartment and try to move back home; and Mike informs Renee of Ben's dire circumstances with a loan shark.

In this show, Gabrielle Solis is the most fashionable and sexiest woman. The reason might be because of her previous job- a fashion model. Bree Van de Kamp seems to be conservative but through the pain time, she becomes more liberal about sex or relationship. she always tries to look good or tidy to others, very organized woman. Even if she doesn't work, she sustains her life style.  Susan Mayer looks so good enough as others. maybe Lynette Scavo is the closet to a real housewife. She takes care of 5 kids which make many troubles. Her fashion is little out of date comparing to other ones. Her facial expression like tiredness is giving more reality to the character.
Lynette Scavo and  Bree Van de Kamp seem to have most reponsibility of their own selves and their kids. Lynette goes back and forth to resolve her kids' problem actively, while Bree is likely to do them through talking and her own way which make some troubles. It looks like the gap between old generation and new one. Lynette's style to handle problems seems to effective or more modern to kids.

Four characters star in the show, which are in middle class. Superficially, they don't have any problem ,but underneath it, there are troubles of kids, husbands, neighbors and money. What is the stereotype of the middle class in America. Tidy and clean house and neighborhood with good grass ?  Stable or good jobs ? look-good neighbors?  2-3 kids ? Don't-care-too-much consumers during a special holiday ? This show gives images of the middle class family in America.

I think four characters's life style is a little bit far from reality, but I watch it on a regular basis. why? it's interesting. The uneasiness and anxiety make me interesting. Most of people have this kind of emotion. Because of  the economic downturn, doom future, competition and etc, about 32% are suffering mental problem according to a study. Maybe four stars' mental state could be mine.

At present, murders and criminals are the best subject to attract audiences. Even if those are not common to normal people, those things must be interesting to people. Without that, How about TV drama? Is it still fun and interesting ?

Liar Liar Liar

'An Honest Liar'

Have you ever googled "lie" ?
If you don't, try it. there is Wikipedia which gathers and sorts different definition of 'lie'. Some lies could give bad effect on someone physically or mentally. We lives in so many information which could be faked. Who lies? MOST OF THEM, NOT 100%.Who should never lie to people? people who take care of soul? politician?

'An Honest Liar' profiles the life of famed magician turned professional skeptic James "The Amazing" Randi as he embarks on a series of public crusades to expose America's beloved psychics, mentalists, preachers, and faith healers with religious fervor. Along the way, the film show how easily our perceptions can be fooled.

James Randy was born in Toronto,Ontario,Canada and has a younger brother and sister. After seeing Harry Blackstone,Sr, He took up magic.

[James Randi has an international reputation as a magician and escape artist, but today he is best known as the world's most tireless investigator and demystifier of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims.

Randi has pursued "psychic" spoonbenders, exposed the dirty tricks of faith healers, investigated homeopathic water "with a memory," and generally been a thorn in the sides of those who try to pull the wool over the public's eyes in the name of the supernatural.

He has received numerous
awards and recognitions, including a Fellowship from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in 1986.

On October 19, 1993, the PBS-TV "NOVA" program broadcast a one-hour special dealing with Randi's life work, particularly with his investigations of Uri Geller and various occult and healing claims being made by scientists in Russia.

He is the author of numerous books, including The Truth About Uri Geller, The Faith Healers, Flim-Flam!, and An Encyclopedia of Claims, Frauds, and Hoaxes of the Occult and Supernatural. His lectures and television appearances have delighted - and vexed - audiences around the world.

In 1996, the James Randi Education Foundation was established to further Randi's work. Randi's long-standing challenge to psychics now stands as a $1,000,000 prize administered by the Foundation. It remains unclaimed.]-by

James Randy stars in the film to explain his arguments. He is one of the most famous magicians.

he himself has done magic in public to enjoy and deceive people.

His remark and exposure is not telling about only psychics, preachers, mentalists and etc. Even though we encounter so many information and data around us, we can be easy to be fooled. For example, in politics, some promise the politicians had made hasn't been delivered. What about the Internet? Everyday, every minute,News, gossips and opinions are flowing to us depending on media's tastes.
What we choose is exclusively depending us.

I think all things can't be proved in scientific method. However, some groups or men deceive people to grab much money with the mask of good will or God.
I think that's the point of this film. Honestly, If you can't save people's soul, at least don't deceive them by the name of God.

Want to save Tibet? In the meantime, act Timothy Hutton explains how to use Groupon to at least try food from Tibet in Groupon's Super Bowl "Save the Money" ad campaign. At the first scene, it begins with the sad situation in Tibet, which can attract a bunch of attention from the public. Music is as well, making audiences become serious. However, it turns into totally different situation. fun and very commercial scene !

It uses famous people( Elizabeth Hurley / Cuba Gooding Jr ) to make an attention from the public. He is Timothy Hutton, a famous American actor, who explains how to save the money. That means that this ad tries to show the credibility and faith to the audiences. In addition to that, It uses irritation to make so many talks about the ad. It must have made approval or disgusting talks.

Basically, this ad makes a lot of controversy. In the terms of that point, It sticks with people's mind for a long time, making many controversial talks and juicy gossips related to the political issues and the ads. It works well. Even though its successful strategy, It still makes people feel sick of the commercial companies to pursue their benefits. I think Most of people don't care about the situation of some foreign countries. After seeing the ads, some people could have felt deceived. Because it's kind of humiliated. The Groupon's target is not limited. whoever is going to like it , they can try it. The item
it introduced includes restaurant, trips, movie and performance, hair salon, etc.

When it comes to attract concern and attention , these ads are successful. Maybe, the audiences who don't have the different and environmental background or interest won't care about these ads. Even though at first it gives unpleasant impression to the public, the image lasts for a longer time than we expect. that's the point. However, I disagree to these ads.

In those ads, there are shortage of understanding the serious and harsh reality which aren't supposed to treat lightly.
